The role of a doula is to support pregnant women and their families through the process of childbirth and the postpartum time period. Suzanna has been a doula for almost 2 years, but before she became a doula she was a nurse for a total of 30 years serving at 2 major hospitals in Vancouver. Suzanna has the knowledge and experience to be a fully qualified doula who can assist you in your birth. Suzanna strongly believes in being preventative, Suzanna can teach you about how to prevent postpartum hemorrhage, postpartum depression, Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), Shaken Baby Syndrome, tooth decay etc.

In addition to the standard doula services, Suzanna also offers amazing translation services for patients who are unable to fully follow along with the healthcare staff. Suzanna will come to your appointments with you and translate the whole time so you know exactly what’s going on.
